Satay Chicken Skewers

   Satay Chicken Skewers
BOY HAVE I A STORY TO TELL!?

At the start we all walked in and were like; 'Wait... We just made skewers last week...' YEAH WE DID šŸ˜ šŸ˜”šŸ˜”šŸ˜”šŸ˜ šŸ˜ž

Anyway, we made them, the chicken was slimy. When it came to taking the photos, though... Ohoho...

There was only one (what do you call it? Bowl? Tray...) platter of peanut butter left so our had to take turns taking pictures, Girlie and his workmate Who I have to force to help clean up went first, but TOOK THE BUTTER OF NUTS WITH THEM and when they gave it back

This is how to make them, BTW

Ingredients
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon ground coriander
½ teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon chopped garlic
½ tablespoon brown sugar
½ tablespoon vegetable oil
½ tablespoon soy sauce
½ tablespoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon fish sauce
8 bamboo skewers
Peanut oil
Coriander (For garnish)

250g Chicken Breast

Directions
  1. Cut chicken into 2 inch cubes. Place the chicken cubes into a large bowl

  1.  In a separate bowl add all the sauce ingredients and mix until combined

  1. Thread each chicken cube onto a skewer, make sure to have even coverage.

  1. Separate half the sauce mixture into another bowl, use brush to cover chicken with sauce evenly.

  1. Baste the chicken with oil and grill on cast iron pans.

  1. Cook for not much more than 2 minutes each side, turning fairly often to prevent unnecessary burning.

  1. The satays are done when they have turned golden brown and crispy along the edges and the chicken has an internal temp of (75c)

  1. Serve on plate with remaining sauce on the side, add roughly chopped coriander as a garnish

Oh, hi there, stranger... It's been a while.
I made burnt skEWeRs!

Eggs Benedict withOUT ME!!!!!!!!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhIWasSick...

Yeah, tonsils and nostrils are the worst. Urgh.

Anyway, while I was away my cooking class made eggs benedict and we all have to write a blog about it, even if we weren't present. Ah, well, I'll use Queenie's photo.

Apparently the recipe was... *frantically looks at recipe*

I don't even know what the last two even...

They sound pretty posh, though.

Oh, I have to write how to make them, too... And here I thought my work was done.

wHY HellO, ThERe, cOPy ANd PasTE!!!!!!!

  1. Bring a deep saucepan of water to the boil (at least 2 litres) and add 3 tbsp white wine vinegar. Break the eggs into 4 separate coffee cups or ramekins. Split the muffins, toast them and warm some plates.
  2. Swirl the vinegar water briskly to form a vortex and slide in an egg. It will curl round and set to a neat round shape. Cook for 2-3 mins, then remove with a slotted spoon.
  3. Repeat with the other eggs, one at a time, re-swirling the water as you slide in the eggs. Spread some sauce on each muffin, scrunch a slice of ham on top, then top with an egg. Spoon over the remaining hollandaise and serve at once.

Well, that was painful.

Eggies With Friends

Eggies With Friends

I apologize for the fact that there are no pictures because my phone hates all internet sources.

H A T E S  I T ! ALL OF IT!

So... I have Food Tech with Queenie and Girlie. We each had to make scrambled eggs for some reason, separately.

Now, I don't really like scrambled eggs. At all. I can have almost any type of egg, but not scrambled. I don't know why, maybe it's the texture that makes me feel sick?

...

But, anyway, the others were successful in their egg endeavors, I was slower because I'd never done it before. I was just stirring my eggs when I looked around and realized that everybody had toast as well! What! SINCE WHEN!!!! I was freaking out silently in my head as everybody else served up their scrambled eggs on their magical toast, pfft, but then I realized that 'I don't need toast, I wouldn't eat it with scrambled eggs on top of it anyway.'

So, Queenie ended up eating the majority of the eggs. That was pretty funny. If I never post here again then just assume that both Queenie and I are both dead...

Bye,

Another FLT project~ :3

Queenie, Girlie, Kokie and I painted on a wall in the music room. It was fun. Now I am going to write meaningless poppycock to fill in the space and make it seem like I am actually working. Walls and paint and brushes and Queenie and black and pies and chairs and music and school and work and singing and bags and scissors. I'm a year 10, now, by the way. Meh. Urgh I don't want to write about my life. I want to write other things that could actually be successful, maybe. Like books or poems, not biographies. So, and then the whale was all like; 'Are you shore?!' I like food. Writing, reading, painting, drawing, helpless, Hamilton, burn, that stuff, Blogging, meh, huh. Miss.
